Returns & Refunds

At Sweet Sunflower Bakery, every order is baked fresh from scratch and made specifically for you. Because each cake, cupcake, cookie, or brownie is crafted to order and perishable in nature, I cannot accept returns once the order has left my kitchen. This policy helps ensure the safety and quality of every product I make.

I also do not issue refunds after an order has been picked up. By the time your items are ready, ingredients have already been purchased, time has been spent baking, and love has been poured into the decorating process. Unlike mass-produced goods, each order represents hours of planning and hands-on work, which is why refunds are not possible once pickup has taken place.

That said, I want every customer to feel happy with their experience. If you believe there is a mistake with your order, or if something doesn’t meet your expectations, please reach out to me within 24 hours of pickup. While I cannot accept returned items, I will carefully review the situation and do my best to find a fair solution.!

Order Changes

I know that celebrations and events sometimes evolve, and you may need to adjust your order. Whether it’s a change in flavor, quantity, design, or even the pickup date, I’m always happy to accommodate changes whenever possible. To make sure I can do so, all changes must be requested at least 7 days before pickup for large custom orders or 3 days before pickup for smaller orders.

Requests made within these timeframes give me enough time to adjust my baking schedule, order any specialty ingredients, and make sure your vision is carried out. For example, if you decide to change the flavor of a cake or add additional decorations, early notice ensures I can prepare properly without delays.

Changes requested after these deadlines may not be possible, and in some cases, significant adjustments may result in an additional fee. Once I’ve begun baking or decorating, much of the work cannot be undone without starting over. Please know I’ll always do my best to work with you, but advance notice is the key to keeping everything smooth.

Cancellations

I completely understand that sometimes plans change. To keep things fair and manageable, I ask that cancellations for cakes or large custom orders be made at least 7 days before your scheduled pickup date. For smaller orders like cookies, brownies, or a dozen cupcakes, I require at least 3 days’ notice. This advance notice allows me to adjust my baking schedule, manage my ingredient purchases, and open that spot to other customers.

Cancellations made within these timeframes are eligible for a refund. However, if a cancellation is made after the deadline, I unfortunately cannot provide a refund. By that time, ingredients have often been purchased, and preparation may already be underway. This helps me avoid waste and ensures I can keep my business sustainable while offering fresh baked goods.

If you need to cancel an order, please contact me as soon as possible. The earlier you reach out, the more flexibility I will have to work with you. I value open communication and will always treat your request with understanding and respect.

Terms & Conditions

General
By placing an order with Sweet Sunflower Bakery, you agree to the following terms and conditions. All of my baked goods are made fresh to order, and every order is prepared with care and attention. Because I am a home-based bakery, availability is limited, and orders are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Orders & Payments
Orders are not considered confirmed until payment has been received in full or as otherwise agreed upon. Payment details will be provided at the time your order is finalized. Prices are subject to change, and quotes are valid for a limited period of time. Once your order is confirmed, the agreed-upon price will not change.

Allergies & Dietary Restrictions
I do offer some gluten-free options by request; however, because I bake in a kitchen where wheat, dairy, nuts, and other common allergens are present, I cannot guarantee that any product is free from cross-contamination. Customers are responsible for informing me of any allergies or dietary restrictions before placing an order. Sweet Sunflower Bakery cannot be held liable for any allergic reactions.

Liability
Once an order has been picked up, Sweet Sunflower Bakery is not responsible for how the product is handled, stored, or transported. Clear instructions for storage and care are provided with each order, and it is the customer’s responsibility to follow them. Damage after pickup is not the responsibility of the bakery.
